I've covered a range of topics for local and national outlets since 2016, starting with creating digital feature stories for Columbus and the Valley magazine in Columbus, Georgia. Two of my stories for the Opelika Observer won Best In-Depth News Coverage awards from the Alabama Press Association: first place for a feature on a free speech case against Opelika, and third place for an investigation into a local internet provider's public Wi-Fi.

In New York City, I joined Inverse in its early days as a reporter covering technology through the lens of transportation, then shifted my focus to lifestyle and drinks. I covered wine through profiles and region guides for Grape Collective, then became the primary staff writer at VinePair, where I started on news and moved up to longform features and beer and spirits reviews.

At Supercall, the now-folded spirits site under the Thrillist umbrella, my beat was agave spirits, though I covered a wide range of news, features, and expert packages.

In 2018, I joined Matador Network as food and drink editor, covering food and drink through the lens of travel. I wrote features, news, and packages while leading a small internal team and a roster of freelancers I brought on.

Alongside every staff role, I've kept freelancing.
